Crescent City Cares: Five Marriott & Renaissance Hotels of New Orleans Give Back with New Voluntourism Program

For travelers looking to enjoy a little do-gooding, below are details on the Crescent City Cares program, starting at $129 per night, based on double occupancy, valid July 20 through December 31, 2007. * Care Concierge - Once reservations are confirmed, the Care Concierge will provide recommendations on local volunteer organizations for guests who want to help in the rebuilding of New Orleans. Recommendations will be sent via email. * Hands-On Community Service - The Marriott and Renaissance Hotels of New Orleans have partnered with Habitat for Humanity to offer guests direct access to crucial community aid projects. * Donation to Local Charity - 25% of guests' room rate ($129) will be contributed to Habitat for Humanity to help in the revitalization of the Big Easy. * Goodies for Do-Gooding - Voluntourists will be armed with breakfast to-go for two to help keep them fueled throughout the day.
The Crescent City Cares program is available at the five New Orleans luxury hotels: the New Orleans Marriott, JW Marriott New Orleans, Marriott New Orleans at the Convention Center, Renaissance Pere Marquette and the Renaissance Arts Hotel.
New Orleans' five full-service Marriott and Renaissance French Quarter hotels offer some of the most unique and distinctive hotels near Bourbon Street. Collectively, the properties bring a total of 2,604 guest rooms to the market, all offering swimming pools, fitness centers, valet parking and a host of other amenities.
